Does anyone have this setup on their TypeR? If so...is it worth it? What kind of gains? I looked at one of the comptech headers and it looks pretty small compared to a mugen, JDM, spoon, etc. Does it really give good gains?

 

I have the exhaust,and I love it.The Comptech has a 2 collector and most everything else is 2.5.The Comptech header did good in the great header test.NOT the best by any means but still not bad.There are better for less money(JDM)ect,but the Comptech is very well made.I plan on running it on my car with the icebox.I would guess around 5-7 hp at most with the H/E.I could be wrong.....

 

BTW,

I have a test pipe that was made just for the CompTech header for the header test to bolt up to a stock "location" B pipe flange. The test pipe is stepped from 2-1/4" to 2-1/2" OD. There was an O2 bung welded in it by the dyno operator for the wide band O2 sensor.

 

When I tested the Header and Exhaust at Comptech I had gains from 5-10 whp throughout the power band.
