Installing headers and catback exhaust on 2000 accord.
Anyone in New Jersey that could install my headers and catback. I got price quote from mineke and he said atleast 300.00. I was talking to my friend and he said they charge you 2x what you should have to pay. I was going to try and install the parts myself but I do not have the right equipment and don't have a work area neither. Or should I just go and get it installed by the professionals?
Buy a set of jackstands, a hydraulic jack, and a decent set of sockets for under $70 total. Find an empty area, such as a parking lot or something to do the work.
You'll have the satisfaction of installing parts yourself, and you'll save a couple hundred bucks, and even have a little set of tools for future work. If it's your first time ever doing work like this, get a buddy to help to make the installation go smoother.
In my opinion $300 is way too much for an hour of labor.

Sears, or pretty much anywhere that sells car parts (Advance Auto Parts, Autozone, etc.), or you could even buy them really cheap off http://www.harborfreight.com.
