Default p73 ecu

I am trying to find out if any versions of the p73 ECU are smaller in size than say a p72/61/30/28 etc etc. Someone owed me some money and he had this small p73 ecu at his house, I told him to give it to me and his obd2a p72 for what he owed me. So I am just trying to find out if in fact it really is a p73 ecu and not some BS he put a sticker on. He only owed me 150, and I still have his laptop till I find out if this is straight or not. I searched to see if I could find any pix of one but all I found were some of bigger units (like the p72 etc). Can someone help me out? If he tried to screw me I am gonna have to get in his ace.....

my '00 and '01 itr ecu's (p73) are definitely smaller than the obd1 p28's I have...

smaller = better

just look for the p73 in the numbers on the ecu.

The small P73 is for the JDM ITR and the long (nomal size) P73 is for the USDM ITR

I think US 97-98 ITR ECUs are long and rectangular and i know for a fact that US 00-01 ITR ECUs are short, and square in shape...hope that helps a little.

Well here it is I want to sell it for the money he owes me but what if it is stolen or something? I mean I don't wanna have anything to do with it, if it traceable.

Don't buy/trade for stolen parts. Ask him where he got it.

Also, the 00/01 ECU's have an immobilizer, so YMMV.

I NEVER mess with stolen parts, if it is stolen and on your car I don't even want your car at my house, yah know what I mean? if a person will steal from someone else then they will steal from me..... he assured me it was not stolen.
