Default is shifter's shaking as releasing the gas pedal a common problem?

Hi

Recently, I have been looking for an used s2000. Last weekend, I test drove a 2001 one. Everything seemed to be fine. However, there was one thing that worried me a bit. Whenever I released the gas pedal (no matter which gear I was in), the shifter started to shake. The shaking stopped when I stepped on the gas pedal again. The seller said the shaking was quite common and it won't affect anything. Is it actually true? Also, if the car actually needs to be repaired, how much I will be looking at approximately?

Thanks for the help in advance

if this is what i think it is... there is a TSB out for repair. I believe they have you swap in the clutch disk from the 02+ models. Was there a terrible noise associated with this?? Mine did the same thing until I changed the clutch.

The shaking was not like crazy, but I definitely could feel it when I placed my hand on the shifter.

Yes, there was noise associated with the shaking. Do you guys happen to know the TSB number?

Thanks!

I guess that is it! Thanks for all the help. I will call the dealer nearby to get an estimate. In fact, how much are you guys paying for the repair of that specific TSB? I just want to make sure that I won't be ripped off. Thanks!
