iam in the process of getting a 91 si hatch for 2000 pretty straight body with a dohc zc motor and tranny swap alresdy

 

Thats a pretty good price for an si with a zc but if it says 2000 try saying 1500 and see
what happens you never know you might drive away with a car for 1500 to 1800 with a little left over for registering the car

 

is it clean or salvage, how many miles on the body. what kinda info is this? give him 1000 cash on the spot and if he says no just walk away. then drive home and thank me

It's not worth it due to that fact that (as far as I believe) the ZC motor isn't smog legal in any form!

If he says that he will get the smog certificate, then I'd bet it's an "under the table" smog check. At some date, YOU will have to face the fact that it's not legal and hopefully, it's at a time when you can afford to put a different engine in it.

Don't touch anything that says "sold as is"! If he is doing this, at the minimum, he is trying to lay on you the responsibility of getting the smog check (which can't be done legally).
