are my rotors warped?
So i'm drivng and when I hit the brakes, my steering wheel vibrates/shakes pretty badly.. but the thing is, I just changed the brake rotors.. could they be warped already given that they only have like 5000 miles on them?
Thanks in advance,
Thanks in advance,
You also may not have the brake pads seated properly, look at that but i doubt it. I never went thro a break in period with my rotors and they worked fine, but i would just get a pulsating in my brake pedal, i did the self test of spinning them with the pads still in place and there werent any high spots but i had them machined down and they worked fine afterwords.

where did you hear this???
Rotors can warp very easily. Take an offramp fast and slam on your brakes, pull into the car wash and bam, nice cool water on steaming hot rotors while you are pushing on the brake pedal= warpage.
I'm sure they;'re warped. If hard driving hasn't ocurred, I'd look into excessive runout on your wheel bearings possibly
But yes, rotors can warp easily and those are typical signs
