Default Help installing Ungo MS1001 in '98 Civic EX

As the titles states I'm installing this alarm in my '98 Civic EX w/ factory keyless entry. I currently have the factory head unit which has the alarm brain in it hidden in the dash. I would like to remove this from the vehicle and install the Ungo Alarm. I'm sure some of you have your feelings about the alarm, but I already have it for free and I've had it on a car before and never had any problems.

My first question is with my car already having keyless entry I shouldn't have to buy the lock actuators right? I should be able to use the ones that are already there? Secondly, this alarm is by no means top of the line and I've installed my fair share of car stereos so I'm comfortable doing the install. I am just looking for a schematic or maybe some tips to help me get through the install. Any information you can provide would be appreciated.

I'm looking at this diagram and I'm thinking this should be all that I'm needing as far as the wires I'm looking for.

You mention I should be able to get most of the wires right from the harness going into the radio is this recommended? I've heard some mention that you should hide the alarm brain as best you can, but if it's hooked up right there that would be the first place I would look.

Side Note: I have an option button on my factory remote but it doesn't seem to do anything. Can I program this to do something or is more for a trunk release that I would have to purchase separate?

Thanks for the website link.

Thanks for the website link.</TD></TR></TABLE> The link shows a blank page, as for the hook up, its a lot harder to get to the OEM alarm plug, [thats why Honda put it there] then it would be to reach up under the dash.

I would think the option button would be for trunk, I can't think of anything else. 94
