Default uber electrical trouble

Im working on a friends car from work its a 99 accord. Break down on whats going on. She had a jackass guy install her radio but this idiot cut the main honda harness and just started connecting wires hoping he was right. I arrived and put a proper harness on the stereo and fixed his work properly. Now her tail light wouldnt come on and neither would the dash lights. thru a hell of alot of trouble and a lil luck i thought i had the problem solved, reset the ecu and found out a single bulb in dash blew out(the bulb with the black wire running to tach light). Im replacing those tomorrow and also found she had a blown blub in her rear so i took that out to and havent replaced it till tomorrow. Now after all this when she flips the lights on the rears dont work but brake lights still do. Im completely lost on this and really dont know were to go. It could possibly be a fuse i overlooked but if its not that then what. PLz help problem solve this biznitch, thanx

that is actually a really common problem when changing out head units and doing the wiring, i would suggest you check the appropriate fuses.

cool, let me know how that works out, ive installed quite a few radio's myself, and i remember this one time, the dash lights and the tail-lights blew out, and i was sweating like a fiend, but it just turned out to be that when you connect certain wires of the radio to the car, one of them is for when you turn on your parking lights, it lights up some of the buttons on the radio, that was the only connection i could have made between the two. Keep us posted!

YES DEF check the fuses. Thats the exact problem I had, the harness was cut and it blew I think 2 or 3 fuses. If its not the fuses, on the rear left taillight, there is a small black box like 4 inches big. There is a chip in there that might have to be replaced, im not totally sure what it does but when i brought it to the shop they told me it had to be replaced. Like Confuc1ous its for the most part going to be your fuses.
