Default Best 225/35/18 tire?

I have searched but found nothing. All I am really looking for is a good tire with nice grip and good grip in the rain, alot of thread life, no noise and good protection for my volks. I was looking at the Goodyear F1, but those bad boys are freaking 188 a tire at tirerack.

What type of car is it. That is a very uncommon size, usually a 215/35-18 will work (if the car is smaller like a Civic) or a 225/40-18 if it is a little larger (like an Accord)
But the best tire in that size for the money IMO would be a Proxes 4.

Do you have any basis to this claim, I.E. personal experience?

I've installed sets on 3 of friend's cars, they're an awesome tire for the money. Not to mention that I sell them on a day to day basis and have nothing but great feedback.

The Falkens are good tires and I found them for 150 a tire in this size. I have a 98 prelude and right now I'm rolling on 225/40/18 and they rub like a bitaachhh. I don't wanna run 215/40 cause they are rubber bands. I was looking at the Goodyear F1 gs d3 but they run 188 at tirerack. Hey Chris, how much can you get falkens for bro?

Thats a damn good price on the Falken FK451. I also deal tires and carry Falken, but I couldn't sell mine that cheap.
