Default finished the swap !

Now it`s done.

After my oem-cams were ground in 4mm and the head was almost totalled, the swap is done now. 63402`s in, springs, retainers, dc-header and a custom throttle body assy is in now.

Two hours of headwork (polishing to make everything smooth again) were spent and now I`m breaking in the cams carfully.

When 1000km are done and everything is still fine, we change oil, throw in
the power fc and take a trip to the dyno. In spring a custom made header/metal-cat/b-pipe with 58mm id follows to keep down the backpressure which is a problem right now.

I was surprised how smooth the engine idles and runs with the stock ecu. The only difference is, that it takes a few seconds to let the idle drop down to 900. But I think it`s the brand new throttle body assy.

And that`s my question: What do you think I can expect of this tba in addition to my whole setup ? It`s custom made (72mm) and dynoed 8whp in a stock R.

Thank you.

The TB is made by http://www.idol-motorsport.de
They made it bigger than the spoon and use it in their racecars.. I`m glad to have found someone who built up hundreds of Type R`s for the famous Integra-cup and the DTC race events... and for daily drivers of course.

yeah man. It`s time to kick some azz..

In march I will be at the green hell (Nürburgring Nordschlife) with Idol Motorsport.

Seems like we have a pretty Type R fleet growing over here.

It`s funny how my R feels now.. Though I`m trying really hard not to rev higher than 38000rpm I can feel the enigne sucking air greediely between 3000 and 4000rpm. I wonder how things are going when I`m through with tuning and the exhaust thing.

Unfortunatly my tuner recommended an uprgraded suspension to handle the expected performance. Damn. R-modding is nothing for beggars. I think we all have to own good jobs or our own companies to pay all this horrible bills.

I have girl and kid, two modded cars and a brand new motorcycle. Hope, my business is doing well in the future
