Which CAI for my H22 accord?
Hi everyone, please don't hate me for this but my searches haven't come up with clear answers.I have an H22 JDM in my 2000 accord coupe and I wanna get a cai from e-bay and throw on a good K&N filter on there but don't know if I need the piping to fit the H22 to supply enough air for my motor or get the one that goes into an accord for fitment reasons. Please respond and let me know if some of you know some trusting sellers on e-bay for some good piping and which brand of filter would be best if you don't agree with K&N.thanks to all those who reply.

Get the piping for your accord because almost all piping is the same diameter and will fit the larger bore throttle body of the h22 because all intakes use a rubber/silicon adapator with hose clamps. You need the accord piping because of your engine layout and needed bends in the engine bay.
Just go with a cheapo intake tubing (any/most ebay sellers will do) or if you're concerned about emissions or getting your hood popped go with a carb legal intake (aem and the like).

Whoa you guys are a little off here. Piping size varies by motor. If you have a h22 then you want an intake for that motor. Ebay crap may be all the same. Basiclly you want at least 3" diameter piping for that motor. Get one for 97-2001 Lude's

From what I read cb7-R is right if you are going out and buying a new intake make sure to get the larger one that is for the Prelude to maximize the amount of air you are taking in. But in the case of all the guys that already had one before their swap I did the same and used my old CAI, just to save some cash for now.

I have the AEM V2 CAI for my 00 Accord, it sounds great, and feels even better. Very easy to install, because If I can do it you can do it, just pain in the *** gettin the old intake box filter out, almost snapped off part of my front bumper!
the f22b is 2.75 inches in diameter if im not mistaken....i remember AEM bypasses coming in 2.5, 2.75 and 3....and i think i ordered the middle one....
isnt the 4th gen prelude engine bay (h22a1) the exact same layout as the 5th gen accord....as both cars recieved the f22b1????...so then wouldnt a 3" 4th gen prelude intake fit the bends???

What he said, the Accord throttle body is smaller. You can use any size you want but to get the most out of your intake you want the 3" to match your throttle body.

Thanks to all who responded and what I plan to do,after reading all the feedback, is getting a 3"piping with a K&N filter on it that fits the accord engine bay.thanks again.
