after the swap the throttle response sucks. if i floor, it it hesitates like its going to stall then picks up a half second later. the power delivery is ok...better than my d15 but not by much. it seems the low end is much improved, but when i get to 4000RPMs the power delivery seems to be erratic. i thought this may be a distributor question because when ever i try to floor the car, my tachometer would jump around like crazy. btw..i have no codes.

do i need a new distributor or is this a timing issue?
can i replace just the coil with one from my d15 dizzy?
or would an external coil (MSD...etc) fix my problems?

sounds like a timing problem to me like maybe its off a tooth or so
