Ok here is what I'm trying to figure out. I have received a package from Sport Compact Pro offering me some kind of co-op sponsorship. It says I have been selected for the premier sponsorship program offering me $12,000. Its not cash to me but rather they will pay up to 55% percent of my parts and will order them for me and have them shipped. Also I have to attend a minimum of 4 shows, race events or auto-X's ect. Does anyone know anything about these people and are they ligit...? Just anyone with ANY info on this please post and help me out. It states the rules in the info they sent me and if certain rules are broken or requirements are not met then it can result in me having a contract terminated and I could have to pay out what they could potentially put into parts for me..... Any help would be so much apprreciated...... thanks guys....

The way it happend with me is I went to the website entered a few months ago and then they called me letting me know all of the information that you have shared with us. I was told that I get a free dvd entered to win a skyline etc. So did u get a call and then get paper work? Because I was informed that they only pick 3 cars per state, unless for instance a friend refers you to them and then you get sponsored. But like nemisis said im having my parents/lawyer check it out. I dont see why it woudnlt be legit.

To be on the safe side double-check with a lawyer, if is legit than you good to go.

You have nothing to loose, good luck on the sponsorship

Yep thats how I went about doing it as well.... I think like the rest of you I will have my attny. look it over..... I'm just real skeptical as to how much % of the so called 55% they will pay.... The contract states they will pay up to as much as 55%...... You guys post back and let me know what the rest of you hear from your attny's and lets compare...... Hope its all gravy baby!

google sport compact pro guys... everything comes up 'sponsorship'

smells like a scam.. sponsorship hopefuls pay thier 80 bucks and then pay more than retail on their parts even after 12000 in sponsorship.

eg:
http://forums.evolutionm.net/s...74278

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Im "sponsored" by SCP....THEY were really good with contacting me at first...but now, they seemed to have dissapeared..i think i have just lost my $88 or at least i jus bought a very expensive "complimentary" dvd....anyhow, they are giving me $12k/year and i ahve to go to 4 shows /year. their prices are okay..but here's the catch..u can only order from companies they are in kahoots with..u cant order from shops you know...cuz they wont make money. lame!! AND HERES THE BULLSHIET....most of their co-sponsored companies only do honda and acura shiet...lame!! THEY DO DEAL WITH RRM THO...BUT they dont take much off anyways...they deal with VIS...a carbon trunk is $400 with sponsorship...isnt the trunk only like 450?? not that much of a discount....anywho..my mistake, learn from it. </TD></TR></TABLE>

eg: http://www.automotiveforums.com/t279688.html
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I just spoke to them today about a supercharger for my Mustang and their "discounted price" is 500 dollars more then what I can buy it from a distributor I work with. They say they are covering the difference between retail and their price which equals out to nothing.

I think it's a scam too! Last friday I called to speak to one of the guys in the parts department, but he was not yet and told me to call back. So I called back and I guess he is still not in. I ask the dude on the phone to give me a price on an AIR RIDE SUSPENSIONS. He told me it's going to be $2248 for the whole thing! Then I ask him, "What brand is it?" He told me "Its the TOP OF THE LINE STUFF!!" ask him to provide me a name but said he would have to look at it, but still said its the top of the line stuff. The answer was SO UNPROFESSIONAL!! And they carry only a small amount of products from different company products. Because I was trying to get some Velox rims for my ride but I guess he has not heard of them because he asked me where did I found it at? I'm going to try again and see how much I can really get from them, if they are ignoring me or not doing what they said then, I'm gonna find a way to get my money back!

wish us luck!
