Is this a good deal for a GSR sedan
2000 GSR sedan. White, Fully Loaded. 80k Doesn't seem fixed up.
Dealer is asking 13,500.
Should I go for it? And what other things should I look for?

Not a good deal, I sold a 2000 GSR 2 door about 6 months ago with 50k miles for $13,000. Don't go to a dealer, try to find a private party. If you do go the dealer route, get your own financing (e-loan, lendingtree.com, etc) and bargain as much as possible. I would bet that the dealer bought that car for less than $10k on the trade-in, so you could try to get them down in the 11s. That price would be fair, but not great. Look on kbb.com and nada.com to see what the trade-in and private party values are.
At 90k miles you should be doing timing belt and water pump, so see if you can get the dealer to do that service for free. If I were buying a car with that many miles, I would probably also change the spark plugs, fuel filter, oil, transmission fluid, do a valve adjustment, and probably dist cap and rotor. That may be overkill, but you don't really know the car's history. I would bet tires and brakes will be a concern soon as well.
As for things to look for:
Make sure no gears are grinding on low and high speed shifts
Look for overspray, drips, and orange peel paint all over the car, paying special attention to the rubber seals around the windows, trunk, and moldings. If anything looks irregular, it was probably repainted.
Look in the trunk floor for any leaks, cracks, or patching
Check the oil, coolant, and other fluid levels before driving off
Look at the pedals and interior to make sure the mileage is consistent with the car's condition - for example, a car with 10k on the odometer should not have a clutch pedal that is worn so much that it is smooth. That can be a sign of an odometer rollback
Get a carfax report, even if the guy says no accidents (many accidents will not show up here either).
Ask if it's a clean or salvage title.
Make sure all electrical stuff works well - lights, a/c, heater switches, cruise control, moonroof, windows, etc.
Check the VIN number stickers and other stickers on the hood and door jambs, if they are gone, it may have been repainted, or worse.
Pop the hood and look for cracking rubber hoses, frayed wires, etc. Also look at the seams of the fenders and the front radiator support for welding spots, make sure the bolts are OEM, and any bent or cracked pieces.

My advice would be to look for your car from a private party instead of a dealer. It might take longer, but I'm sure you will be more satisfied in the end with the car you're buying and the price you're paying.
man..13, 500 for an 80k car?! my gsr sedan is a 96 and it had 87k on it and got it for 6600. i think 13, 500 is a bit too much considering the mileage. i think you should pay at max 10G because it is a 2000 model.
thats alot for a a car w/80k. is there a campus near where you live? sometimes campus dealers have good cars at prices that are a ******* steal, check it out
