When installing a zex camshaft with a skunk 2 cam gear, did anybody have any problems with the cam gear fitting on the end of the camshaft? by the way it is for a 94 ex. The first time I installed everything the key way that came with the cam gear broke and I had to get a replacement close to it at my local auto store. I am working on this problem with a friend of mine who is a mechanic and we are having a difficult time trying to install it with the new key way and with it fitting on the camshaft.

 

Sorry haven't had the same problem. We didn't have any probs with installing AEM gears on crower camshafts. But I was planning on getting a Zex cam, so if you post how you get this figured out I'd appreciate.

I installed a zex cam with aem cam gear and i had the same problem. Can you get the little pin in there at all? What we did was got it on enough to hold the two together and then tightened down the bolt, and that set the pin. Let me know if you need anymore info.

no prob...let me know if you dyno test or track test because i want to know the numbers. I can't really feel much of a difference, except that when the VTEC kicks. It gives more towards the high end, more of a torque curve. How much did you pay for yours??? Street/Strip or Street?

 

I paid 290 something with shipping from zex. It was the street performance version.
