anyone ever burn a cooling fan relay?
by having the cooling fan wired to run all the time?
Driving home tonight my car died. VAFC screen went dead also. Everything else seemed to work fine but car wouldn't start. Fucked with fuses n stuff for a while till I wiggled the cooling fan relay and suddenly the cooling fan came back on (key was at accessory). Started car, VAFC worked, drove one block, same thing again. Got out, switched heater motor relay to cooling fan relay spot, drove one more block and arrived home no problem.
Car is 94 DX hatch with LS/VTEC. Motor is OBDII stylee since it was originally a B16a2 swap that got an LS block.

I have a relay wired into my computer for the water pump that is activated the entire time my computer is on. I'd say the relay just died, no fault of yours. It happens.
Just replace it and rock on.

Cool thanks for the info... my only concern is that I will burn this relay (former heater motor relay) as well and then I'll be fucked stuck on the side of the road...
