All SE's are Automatic?
I got a 97 Special Edition and its an automatic, as far as I know all the special editions are automatic? I plan on having the quickest SE (if all goes well lol) I am just currious if they only make em as automatics?
And also, whats the best move to make my car fast? h22? and what a shift kit?

I don't know anything about the SE's, I really don't know if theres anything special about them.
H22 would be a good idea, a turbo kit might also work. If you're on a budge maybe consider a nitrous setup while you save up for the turbo or swap. I would recommend going to http://www.levelten.com for information on how to build your transmission.

All SE's are automatic. The SE is simply the most popular dealer add-ons from the previous year all put into one car. Moonroof, six disc in dash cd player, power locks, windows, and mirrors , NO pinstriping!, only came in 4 colors, red, silver, tuape, and black currant pearl(deep purple).

Ive gotten a lot of conflicting answers from different places, so I went with what Honda told me. According to a guy at my local dealer, they all came out of the factory automatic, with all the aforementioned add-ons, plus woodgrain trim and painted side moldings. They do have the EX motor. I have seen them in two door, when I was told they only come in four, and Ive seen them with leather. Its hard to say what dealers and previous owners did to them.
ah ah ah, dont be so quick there is a red 97 se accord 5spd with pinstripes at the dealer across from my favorite QuickTrip. i believe they were supposed to be inbetween a EX and LX as the LX motor with EX interior and options ect..
I know the 1994-1996 Prelude SE was a SI prelude and motor with VTEC leather interior..

people pay for the strangest **** man. Dont know what SE's are supposed to come with, but mine has an f22b1. Maybe they could be ordered liek that? I have no clue, ubt whomever originally ordered mine, I thnak them for leaving off the pinstripes!
My car has that ugly *** pin stripes I gotta take them off.
Let me get this straight...You swapped a ty F22 for a slightly less ty F22? You spent that money on swap work or work time while you could have spent slightly more and gotten and H22. Am I missing something?
mine 97 SE came with the bull f22b2 motor...... but I change that quickly with a f22b1 swap. hehehe
My 94 had pinstripes when I bought it. The 6th gens dont come with pinstripes from the factory but people do ask for them.
3 weeks ago at Honda we sold a 2002 green 4 door Ex Auto Civic to an old couple. The couple then decided to do the whole interior in leather and add a woodgrain dash. So we sent the car to get it done. Now thats a rare request. Pinstripes are a common request.

Let's not confuse the Accord SE and the Accord Special Addition, they are different vehicles. As far as I can recall, the last SEs were the 4th gen. (The 3rd gen had the Accord SE-i which was above the LX-i). For the 4g, the SE was above the EX. It had everything the EX had, plus leather and other amenities, and only came in auto. The 92-93 SEs were also the only 4th gens with passenger side airbags. The 4th gen also had the Accord Anniversary Edition (it was the 10th or 25th anniversary of something). That car was between the LX and EX. It was an LX with brakes and a sunroof like the EX, and also came in manual I believe.
The 5th gen saw the demise of the Accord SE, and Honda started coming out with the Special Eds.
Edit: in the first sentence, that should say "Special Edition" not "Special Addition"
