New engine, no start! need some serious help here.
Hey, i just put in a newer lower mileage b18c5 out of 98R into my 00 ITR to replace my previous freshly toasted engine.
I do have this problem though, i cant get the car to start, the engine harness seems to be all hooked up, all the interior lights and everything else works.
I had previously had sold the last ECU(stpuid, i know i shouldnt have), and im assuming the p72 that came with it wont work because of the immobilizer.
I did buy a chipped Kenji P28 and OBD-2 to OBD1 conversion harness. Now heres the part, i dont know if i got the vers A or vers B harness. I am pretty sure if i got the wrong version, it wouldnt work, correct? Would my best bet to check it somone elses car?
I also intstalled a b16a starter since, i have a spoon flywheel and it was grinding on my old engine so i replaced it.
Symptoms
-Car wont turn over, not even a click.
-Fuel pump wont turn on
-VAFC2 doesnt turn on
-No power to the ecu(assuming, since nothing no works)
Fuses seem fine, couldnt find a ECU fuse but i think its the same one as the clock, correct? The clock still works.
Can someone suggest some kind of diagnosis to fix my problem? I'm sure we have all been there when you just finish a new engine install and it wont run, frustrating i tell ya.
Thanks

Ecu fuse should be the back up fuse in the engine compartment, do u have all of th ground hooked up good? Go over every sensor, it would still crank but check your firing order that was my buddy's problemo, but good luck man.
Checked it all, and found out the only problem was that i forgot to hook up the engine to chassis ground, started it and and ran great..
