im looking for the best gain/ all most direct swap, like how on ef's a dohc is all most direct swap... so im looking for a swap for the accord along those lines. i have searched all i have found is ratings(hp) from what i have found it looks like the f22b will be the closest swap....so can someone let me know if im right or wrong??? thanks for any info

The f22b is very similar to the h23, and i believe both engines are about 160hp, and i believe all you need is the ecu to run those engines so it is essentially plug and play.

The h22 would be the best swap in a 92 accord, however little items like the power steering lines and wiring modifications must be done in order to complete the swap. As for the mounts you will have to search although a i believe the stock mounts do work. The h22 swap would offer the largest power gain since the automatic h22's are about 185hp and the manual h22's are 200hp.

I personally would not waste my money on the h22 swap unless your car is a 5spd, or you plan to convert to a 5spd.

Easiest swap would either be the f22b dohc, h22 or a f22b1 or a direct replacement f22a1/4/6.

thanks for the feed back guys, i forgot to mention that the car is a 5-speed and from what i have found out: i can use my f22a1 tranny for the f22b is that correct? (i dont want to use a jdm tranny, ive been told that they are beat up in 1st and 2nd gears) also if i get the f22b could i use my stock a/c and power steering??? fyi: this car is a daily driver i know that there are bigger/better engines out there but im just looking for somthin better than stock(to replace my tired *** engine) because my civic is the quick car
