Default de-ricing my car!

im probably gonna get a lot of crap for even admitting to this, but yes...i had fake type-R badges ive decided to remove them though!! they're are those nopi ones, or whatever, with the 3M sticky on them. anyone with tips on removal?? i was probably just gonna take a hair dryer to it for a couple of minutes and then use some waxed dental floss. this will work right? don't want to leave any rice scars on my poor car. I decided that im proud of my ls, lack of power and all. at least its not a geo metro!

3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner works pretty good 051135-08984.

for dericing your car. I admit my car wore white emblems before, but luckly that was as far as I got. I was young and didn't know better

Just use a hairdryer to heat the sticker up and peel it off when it gets hot enough. I did this at my friends gas station to take off my EX sticker, I didnt like how it looked. The hairdryer to peel it off and then just use some brake dust cleaner to clean off any marks the sticker left.

Default A question...

Why did you put the type r stickers on your car in the first place? (I'm curious as I can't see what makes a person put one of those stickers on their car.)

so u consider putting on a white badge as rice? I can see the type r sticker but...i dunno its getting to the point where if you do anything to the exterior of your car someones gonna call it ricey. Im suprised some of you havent called body kits ricey yet.

nah man! i was talkin about my type R badges. im just sayin that since my car is not a type R then i shouldn't have em. but if you change an emblem with another emblem, then im down with that. im treadin on thin ice i know, i dont mean to be sayin what rice and whats not...to each their own! (unless its me and my type R badges, then i admit to being a recovering ricer )

Looks pretty sweet Although personally I would lose the grill
What part of Knoxville are you from? I don't think I've ever seen you around. I'm out near Farragut.

if they would read the post with the pics, they would see that im gonna get some eibach pro kit springs next...probably this summer. its an arospeed exhaust that i got from nopi. i love the way it looks. i can't move the grill back because of the bar that runs horizontal on the 94-97 models. i wish i could. i like it because it prevents any rocks or bugs from hitting my radiator.

if it was me...id get rid of the grill, lose the licence plate hole caps or paint them to match the car...and the muffler would need to be replaced with something else....those tips just dont look right on hondas to me.

I would get a real licsense plate with numbers on it, so it would be street legal and you wouldn't pulled over for a stolen car.

Not speaking from experience of course.....

yeah man, i was thinking of that, but id rather spend the registration money on something else....ill probably get a marker and draw letters and numbers on to look like a real license plate...

If you plan to JDM ize your car do this:

1) JDM OEM Metal ITR Front End w/HID lights
2) ITR 5 lug Conversion w/16 inch Gunmetal JDM ITR rims
3) Top Fuel Body Kit

Drag Gen III your engine

This is if you ever run into about $8000, for now Eibach Pro Kits will do fine.
