How do you start a car w/itr ecu w/out immobilizer key system using e-brake??
I have a 2001 itr ecu that i am putting in my 2000 Si. I have to have a blank key chipped and an alarm company install it to start the car due to the immobilizer system in the ecu..before i do this, i want to make sure that i am going to get the power gains i need so i don't go spending a whole bunch of money on the ecu when i need to get a diff one..I have heard you can start it by using the e-brake for a certain number of times..How?????????

I would not go through with it. I tried it with my friends itr ecu on my girls Si and it did not start, just send it out to get reprogramed with spoon,mugan,skunk2, and so on. Be a lot less money
I know it can be done..companies that put car remote starts in use a aftermarket "immobilizer box" and a blank cut chip key. You can also install a immobilizer box w/key from another car..the ecu reads the info from the box..i just would like to try it with the e-brake start to be sure it is going to give me the power gain before i spend the money.
