Default Tein Lowering springs

Are these good lowering springs? Here is the description:
Tein S.Tech Lowering Springs (Part # SKA24-AUB00)
Fits all Civic 96-00
Front lowers 1.9"/ Rear lowers 1.7"
Eliminates most of the gap between the tire well and tire. Comes with a sound reducing rubber cover (most cars)
Brand new in the box, complete set (2 front, 2 rear)

They are on Ebay right now for $95 plus $30, Is that a good price? Does anyone have pics of that drop or one close to that? Post all the pics you can.

they are okay springs, more for street use than track (real soft). I have them on my 93 CX hatch and still have about 2 finger gap all around with 14 inch rims. The thing I notice is that on all civic hatchbacks with tein springs the front seams to be a little more lifted, im guessing because of the weight difference between b and d-series engines. Ill say save your cash and get some coilovers down the line. Good luck

I really dont want coilovers. I have stock 15 inch Si wheels on my car. Do you have any pics? I want to see how the drop is.

Should I get coilovers or springs? Which is easier to install and has less problems?

now turned into a whole different topic.

its all about personal preference really. do you want your car to be height adjustable or not? springs and coil-overs are pretty much the same to install. neither one of them are going to have problems if they are properly installed.

Sorry, I dont really care about height adjustability. I would think that it would be hard to get all 4 coilovers completly even. How do you make the threaded part stay onto the shock? How would I measure how low the car is if I got coilovers?

Get some omnipower coilover sleeves and heard nothing but good things about them and I even have s-techs on my eh2 and wouldn't mind a set of them over my teins springs.

I don't really like the S-Techs, the spring rates suck, waaay too soft for the size drop. I wish I would've forked over a little more cash and went with H&R Sport or Eibach Sportline springs.

Not the omnipower coilovers setup but just the sleeves setup for like 150 I believe.

I just found a set of them:

http://www.robearracing.com/pd...e.cfm

Someone told me I should get a camber kit for this reason: 2+ inchs will cause havoc on your camber. I know it did on mine with less drop then that. The alignment wont fix your camber. It will fix Caster and Toe but the camber will still be negative and you wheels will be tilted in noticeably proceeding to wear out the insides of the tires prematurely Is that true?

THis is how someone said to measure the coilovers b4 you put them on the car: to the point where u want to sit the adjustble things

i thought u just measure the top of the coilover to the point where u stop

Would that work?

Do these drops look the same? They are all suppose to be dropped with H&R Race springs. I am having a hard time deciding which springs to get. It's either going to Neuspeed Race whichs lowers 2.25"F 2"R or H&R Race which lowers the car 2.5"F and 2.25'R

The Si with the 5 lug is suppose to be the same drop.

and now is the Si with the 5 lug that is suppose to have the same drop. Does the front look lower than the other pictures?

Somone said it could be the angle of the picture and/or that the engine is heavier since it is a B series, is that true. I really like the look of the drop I just dont want to have problems with the front scraping. I heard that I should not really have problems with rubbing.

I've seen plenty of pics w/ S. Techs and everyone still says its '4x4 mode' so as far as I've seen/heard they dont lower it much, I have Eibach Sportlines and I'm VERY happy w/ my drop.. I also have Tokico Blues (HP)
