Car not running right
I put my turbo kit on about 2 months ago and it hasnt been working right since then. I just put a missing link on it and my engine check light still comes on and the car runs no better. When i floor it at about 4500 rpms the car starts studering and backfiring until i let off about 3/4 off the gas then it starts to pull a little harder but not much. I have a garret t3/t4 turbo, straight 3 inch exhaust and a 3 inch downpipe, rfl bov, and tial wastegate with a 8psi spring. I have no fuel managment at all and i know i need it but still should it run this bad? Im ordering a vafc controller soon so is that the problem, because I have no fuel managment? And my boost gauge is reading 8psi, thanks

Stop driving the car like that, its called lack of fuel, what do you think was going to happen? When you boost a car you need some fuel. Look into uberdata with some 450cc DSM injectors. http://www.ecimulti.org/uberdata
It is backfiring and **** because you are incredibly lean, so stop trying to boost the car.
You have all this name brand junk on your car and didn't address the biggest issue of all, I think someone misinformed you or you didn't do some research before you put the kit on? Try looking around the forum for some more answers.

I don't think you can put them in upside down, I think there is a definite way to tell. You can tell by blowing into it. My Missing link would not work with my car above 8lbs, so I think it is about useless anyway. Check valves would be better, but still going to blow it up pretty quickly like that.
could i get some dsm450cc injectors with a resister box and a v-afc to control the fuel? Im going to stop driving it and havent been driving it for about a month but i just want to get it fixed asap. Anyone selling 450cc injectors or a vafc. thanks for your replies
VAFC just isn't the way to go now a days. Check out the uberdata forum, I sent you an email. http://www.ecimulti.org/uberdata
There are many sets of 450s on ebay right now. Check them out.

dont i want to get a vafc2 so i can control my v tec? But if anyone is selling injectors or vafc just tell me and i will buy. do u guys think this set up would be good for right now. thanks
a vafc will controll ur fuel too. u need something to controll ur fuel or else, like everyone else said ur gonna blow it up. but yes u can use it too control v-tec also. if thats all u can afford to get than do. i think u will be with it running 8 psi but no more than that. good luck.
use a vafc at your own wish. I know it is simple and what not. But what is so hard about getting uberdata for what, $150, the cost of a vafc2... still blows my mind that it is even an option for a boosted car anymore.
sorry that i dont know anything about uberdata but can you tell me an exact price to buy or have you do all the stuff so that i can run uberdata? Im new on ems but thanks for your help.
I actually do chip ecus, if you need help with that. But read up on the uberdata FAQ. You can email me at uncgolf25@aol.com
Moates's kits were $15 like 2 weeks ago, when did they go up? A basemap is going to run this guys car way better than no fuel management and probably better than a vafc. My basemap runs my car great, until this kid I know finally gets his wideband. ;^)
ya i did ALOT of research but i dont have much money to spend at all so i cant buy everything i want so i have to go the cheap way. Hell if i had alot of money i would just go out and buy a car that already has all the stuff i would want. thanks
well if you had done any research at all you would have known that you won't be able to boost **** without some form of fuel managment so there was no point in even putting the stuff on in the first place. Besides you could get an fmu for probably $75..at least that is a start.

STOP DRIVING THAT CAR! Turbo-D, are you OBD0 or OBD1? Uberdata will not work on OBD0 but Turbo Edit will. E-mail me @ ncervantes@gmail.com if you need some help with turbo edit chipping.
p.s. I also have a FMU with fuel pressure gauge and a connection to your fuel rail. This will at least hold you over until you decide to put a little bit of money into ecu/dyno. hit me up....
