Default first time at the strip

i was pretty happy considering it is my first time at the strip...
first run- 14.815 2.246 60'
second run- 14.500 2.128 60'
third run- 15.076 (missed second gear ) 2.122 60'

anyway, not too bad for an internally stock na 4 banger on street tyres.

there were too many people there to get more runs in. i'll deffinately be back to try my luck again. i've only had the three runs and i'm sure there is more left in me and the car

Wow that is great for bolt-ons only. I that a stripped car or what? That is really fast actually. 14.5 is usually what a itr does. Good job.

no spare, jack, parcel shelf or rear seat. everything else was there.
had 1/2 a tank of fuel too, which must be about a 15kg reduction over a full tank.

nice times, in my 94 gsr, i ran a 14.3@98 but that was with a 2.4 60ft. mods were I/H/E/IM/flywheel and same weight reduction as you... weight makes a bigger difference than most ppl think ya know... my friend ran a 14.0 @100 in his 96 gsr full stripped with the same mods as me plus a throttle body... nice times man.

my mph was 94.48
i'll be sticking a new transmission in in another few weeks and i'll try it again. the rest of the setup will be identical. i think with a little practice on the current setup, i could get a 14.3. but it'd be pretty tight...
oh well, hopefully there won't be 300-odd cars queued up to run next time i go there

btw, any of you ever lined up a 10 or 11 second car. it totally destroys your ego

yeah... those are pretty good times for just bolt-ons. good luck at your next outing!
I think I remember reading that every 300lbs you lose you gain about .1 seconds on your time. So wieght does help.

Every 100lbs. = .1 in the 1/4

So, weight matters even more than you thought.
