I'm looking at replacing my driver's side rear quarter panel. A drunkard backed into it and got away scott free last year. There is a lot of paint, and it's rather cold outside at the moment. How many spot welds are there actually holding the panel in place? I can cut the panel off and weld a replacement on (I have a Syncrowave 350).

soooo youre going to do this yourself? where do you assume they would be? probably there. take off the little rubber roof lining, side skirt, taillight, and rubber lining on the wheel well lip. youll find a whole bunch of them. where did you expect them to be?

As I said, I don't want to take my car apart yet. I am nowhere near home and don't have the tools here. Are these literally spot welds here or are they tack welds?
