even the smartest mechanic cant figure this out.
ok... i have a 94 acura integra. it has a 94 ls motor and 94 auto tranny.it has been turbocharged for about 3-6 months so far. well i have the safc controller with a chipped ecu.i have a p75 ecu, which is chipped out if u forgot by now.the motor is stock. basically no internal work.well i went to go get it tuned(btw, i did have all the req. parts to run 8psi. so everything was ok) at car boys. well y it was getting tuned everytime he got on it.
a lot of blue smoke was coming out i mean ALOT . so after getting tuned.(o yea i did get some skunk 2 stage 2 cam gears.and yes they where installed while getting tuned.)
to make a long story short. my piston rings went to ****. so i end up getting another ls. well this ls motor is a 96 motor. and the head was all polished and shiny.so was the bottom end where the oil sits.it was shiny too. so im guess built motor maybe. dont know.
well i did the swap myself with the help of good friends. yes i did use the same tranny off the old motor.well i hooked everything back up and this is what happens......
tranny doesnt shift until after 5,000rpm. and thats normal driving.normal ls motor and auto tranny shift at 2 to 3,000 rpm. no matter what gear im in . i have to get the rpm all the way up to 5,000 rpm just for it to shift.
im thinking maybe a sensor went out?
im in the process of buying a 91 ls tranny. it shoud bolt right up to the 96 motor right???also i just noticed my safc . the throttle position is sat at 100% when not even on the gas. whats up with that ?
plz help anybody. i miss going to the track and test and tuning. plz help. i miss my turbo.thanks for all your help. i appericate it.

adjust your SAFC to 50% and see if first gear shift point changes, might be at 100 % to correct IACV (do you have a missing link). check connections to your solenoids on tranny, get helms it will help. good to hear you got a turbo auto
, If none of that works, your tranny is in need of a rebuild but it sounds like your first gear solenoid is shot or stuck.

the SAFC gets throttle signal from TPS on the throttle body so if its reading 100% all the time maybe TPS is bad. ur AFC as well as ur ECU are reading ur at full throttle all the time so it is shifting higher in the rev range cuz it thinks ur floored all the time.
you should check your transmission fluid. It has to be just right in order to shift perfect. (right in the middle of the shaded area on the trans. dipstick while the car is running)
ABOUT THE THROTTLE ON THE SAFC, WHEN I PUSH DOWN ON THE GAS IT GOES TO LIKE 30% AND LOWER BUT WHEN IM OFF , IT GOES TO 100%. SEE. IT SEEMS BACKWARDS. WHAT COULD THIS BE. AND DO U THINK MY SAFC IS CAUSE MY TRANNY TO SHIFT SO LATE?? IF SO PLZ EXPLAIN. IM WILLING TO SIT AND LEARN.
THANKS GUYS.

Quite possibly a TPS sensor. TPS = Throttle Position Sensor. The TPS sensor tells the PCM how far you have the throttle blade open. To be honest, this should not be that hard of an issue to fix....Take it to a different mechanic who really "knows" there ****.
