Default Turbo for my F22A...

I was wondering what turbo would be good on my F22A and what modification would I have to make to keep it from blowing??

Ok... For someone(me) just starting out with a low budget and they like to keep their engine if it possible....

As cheap I can run daily with and will last long enough with little or no trouble.

Can anybody help?

turboing a non-turbo car with little or no trouble means deep pockets and a second car.

Nice. But what size turbo would work well with my F22A engine?? Also is there any place to pick up a turbo manifold without having to fabracate one? What parts do I need? I've done some searching for this and I ended up with empty results(Well, almost empty).

search the archives, Ricer. (j/k)

you can modify a DSM turbo mani to fit onto your F22A head rather easily. If you want to keep it low boost, low budget, get a DSM mani & turbo, make your own charge pipes, and don't cheap out on fuel mgmt.

Someone on this site says something like this

"if you are looking for a cheaper hobbie than boosting cars than i suggest throwing gold bricks into the ocean"

Honda made these cars to do what they do and trying to pump boost into them is not simple and even less cheap so if you and your wallet are not ready to deal with some real **** then i would advise staying away from this.

I came in the same way you did just wanted to put a couple grand in and have a fast car. But after you go through with it and deal with all the headaches and BS you end up spending a lot more$ and probably will f-up enough stuff to put your car out of commision time and time again.

One thing that is good is that you came here first so you can learn what to do and what not to do. I would say read through the archives as much as you can and learn as much as you can, this will save you a ton of money in the long run because you will know exactly what to buy so you won't have to replace **** and stuff like that. so with that said start reading and searching and good luck

Right.... but what I found out was that many people that post here have too many differences of opinions and it's hard to follow the right path that will lead to less distruction.
