Default Power Steering

Has anyone with an accord especially a 94-97 accord removed their power steering. I want to get rid of mine but am a little concerned about doing it and have the system looped and have it work just not off of the pulley.
Has anyone done it ir know where i can find a guide to do it

may i ask why?

anyway i suggest downloading the helms manual for the 94 accord that is available on the net. You can get a detailed diagram of what needs to be done to remove it. Or you can just follow all of the p/s lines and parts and take apart as you go.

I dont have a detailed list, but that webpage that pops up everytime someone mentions a conversion is decent. I basicly went to a junkyard and got lucky and pulled everything off a 95 accord 5spd. piece by piece.

I don't know about the HP increase from removing the AC but the weight difference is what probably made your car faster. The AC system all together weighs I think a good 80lbs with the condensor, compressor, pipes and the such. As far as HP gains, the AC pulley is the free-est spinning pulley in your system. As far as the P/S removal, I had mine done by my mechanic friend when my motor was pulled out of the car. You DO have to loop the system to keep fluid in your rack or you will destroy it. (So I was told) Mine has been like this for about a year now and I love the road feel of having no P/S. The A/C only bothers me when it rains and I need to defog my winders. It's a pain but tolerable.
