Is this a fairly easy procedure to do? I have a copy of the service manual instructions, and have a pretty good mechanical ability, if i follow the procedure, should it be relatively painless? Any tips, hints, suggestions? Thanx in advance.

 

Take your time and do not make the mistake someone did in the CIVIC forum of stacking feeler gauges to get the correct gauge !
You might want to invest in a new gasket and plug and mounting bolt seals .

 

Its not hard to do, but if the valves aren't making noise dont mess with them.
