Default auto preulde 5sp swap

Hey guys, Im doing a swap over the next few months. I've been reading on this site that there is an adapter I can buy that will allow me to attach a tranny from a b16 to my h22 eliminating the shift cables. How hard of an install is this and is it reliable? The main reason is that h22 trannies are crap and b16 trannies have way better gearing.

would a non vtec tranny work? liek one from a b18?

You are looking at a very serious change in parts going from the setup in the car to a mechanical linkage for the tranny. That assumes that it will even fit properly. The gearing is not easy to modify but can be done. I am not saying you can swap the internals-change the final drive ratio, if you must. Just my 2 cents
