Default Posting pics & Ideas

I want to upload pics of a lil something something I picked up over the weekend ^__^ But dunno how. I clicked the image icon thing above this and it just has img /img, ionno how to do that.

Was wondering, I see alot of nice kits etc for the s2k, whats the first place one should start changing? Some people I know say do the rims first, others say body kit. Ionno what to do.

So far are the following I think Ill do, if anything else please give povs and opinions please! As you know I will be building 2 cars up in wyotech So s2k and civic hatch

Exterior:
-Cwest Fullbodykit
-Carbon Fiber Trunk (anyone know different companies? I know seibon makes parts)
-Carbon Fiber Hardtop (any suggestions?)
-Carbin Fiber hood (suggestions)
-CF APR I think they are called Mirror?
If I can find a place that does layering I might just get my mirrors, hood and trunk layered. Dunno yet.
-I want to remove my emblems but Im affraid to damage the car T.T any ideas?

Suspension etc:
-Neuspeed Lowering Springs
-Wilwood Big Brake kit
-Volk GTUs, or another brand; ssr? something mesh! I like mesh :D

Interior:
-Red Bride BrixII seats(Im tiny! )
-Takata harness's maybe? Are they street legal?
-No actual management systems cause No engine mods, not yet, dunno what to do; wont start classes till Julyish, But been living in Wyoming for a few months now to get settled

Engine:
-80mm exhaust canister?
Ionno.

Im dead with the s2k...i dunno what parts are what and which looks damn sexy lol.
Help?

I just installed a BodyKitsNW vented hood on my S, looks great. My friends have about decked me because they think its rice, but I stand firm in that I purchased the piece for functionality.

Top mount turbo systems usually produce more recirculating engine bay heat than traditional mount systems, which is why I chose the vented hood. Pictures of that coming later today.
Speaking of pictures, you must host your image first. To do this, usually the easiest thing to do is use go to Imagestation.com, register, then begin uploading. OR, if its already online somewhere, like the above image, do this:
Right click; Go down to "Properties"; "Address(URL)". Copy and past that into the Image tag on the Honda-tech reply screen.
Now for Imagestation-hosted pictures, there will be a ".orig.jpg" at the end of the URL. You must omit that when posting on Honda-tech. Hope that helps! Practice w/the above pic if you want to(".orig.jpg" is already omitted)

well thats a good start mastergradechick.... i know someone selling volk GT-U's right now....

the only company that makes carbon fiber tops is mugen...

mugen, j's racing, amuse, c-west all make carbon fiber hoods for our cars, but they cost you an arm and a leg... if you're going to buy the seibon carbon fiber trunk you might as well go with their imitation hoods also. it'll save you a lot of money... actually come to think of it.. i think seibon is in the process of making an imitation mugen hardtop in carbon fiber...

as for the emblems. they are all on th ecar with doublesided tape... so if you take them off it shouldn't do anything....

and for posting up pics.. you can send them to me.. i have my own server.. so i can host it for you if you want.. send them to s2000at9000rpm@yahoo.com or you can aim me and send it to me that way... my sn is s2000at9000rpm

Thanks for all the help guys Sorry about being a newb to the internet, just dont spend much time on it.

bs-inc.s2k its ok dylan, can hit on me all he wants, Im fine with it hahaha. As for the parts, if Seibon is working on knock-off, BUT quality parts then thats what Ill go for. Mugen stuff is arm and a leg, and a tit on top of that T.T

Sides my main project will now be a 92-95 civic hatch & a 240, while the s2k will be a lil distraction off school

I think Ill hold off on buying anymore parts, until the hardtop comes out, then Ill get it, the hood and the trunk all at the same time.

My dad ordered the kit for me already with my brothers help, Im not to use to buying things online yet all together :D

For exhaust, Ive always seen my bro and other ppls cars having those long bullet I think they are called canisters? Popular with the 240s and Wrxs, I would like to follow suit, since I like how it looks, I only have till next weds to make up my mind before I head back to Wyoming

And autobacs is like 14mins away If I can find a nice can, Ill take it back with me to wyoming and wait for school so I can fab the rest of the exhaust setup. Omg Im so excited!!! Im ganna be crash coursed in everything!!!

Now I need to as well find a 67 Mustang Fastback or a 68 Chevelle to use as a 3rd and final project car.

Ack I need to get a beater truck!!! T.T
All the $ I saved through hs is ganna be gone by Aug T.T

Anyone need female escort service ^__~* haha
JK!!!

p.s. Oh Oh Almost forgot, anyone have a list of racing harness's that are street legal?

hahaha. it'll be you hittin on me hahahahahhaa..

as for the exhaust.. i think you're looking for the N1 style mufflers... it's like the apexi n1... .. lots of styles are like this for the s2000.. depends on if you want single or dual..

there's.. invidia (rather cheap), jic, hks, the list goes on....

as for the harneses... all of them are legal... however.. you dont' really want to use a 4 or 6 point harness on the streets... it limits your ability to move in the car drastically and will prevent you from looking into your blind spots....

lastly.. where you gettig all your money from?? hahahahaha... now thinking about it. i think i should hit on ya.. so i can make you my sugga mamma. hahahah....

i like the c-west idea. but instead of brix ii's get bucket seats, because even tho you can recline them, you can't recline them thaat much in an s2k anyway w/out removing the roll bars and everything behind you. bucket seats will be much lighter.

N1 single looks nice I had it, then went MUGEN

For the kit I would get something else besides cwest a little played for the S.

Look at bulletproof they have some nice kits, but with hefty price tags

PM for the mirror I have a hook up on those better then the GB that they have on s2ki, cause I can cut the shipping cause your local !

Heehee well ghee studying and working your whole high school life kinda doesnt let you spend alot of $ when youre pre-occupied.

I also worked at my aunts private clinic (Dental) And dbled as my dads secretary (spelling? oo i miss spell check oh hey i just notice above lol.)

Also did usual things during hs like chores to save $, not all of us you know got free $ from rents. I wish I did Well Ok ok im guilty of free $ my grand parents send me $ since I moved to wyoming

"So you no need worry work while dare. You study yah?" Damn fobs. Im a lil bratty. And no I wont hit on you, Im taken ^_~*

Apexi N1, ooOo what about the HKS Ti mufflers are those any good? Also I heard the s2ks are pretty much maxxed out at their rated 240hp, with out doing anything to drastic. Alot of people are saying to BOOST the car, but ionno. For me the stock power for now seems to be enough.

At least its not disppointing like the dang Rx8 I test drove. Bulletproofs stuff is so$^ Hahaha. And the kit was already ordered, its being sent to my appartment in Laramie

Now I know Xmas already passed, but anyone wanna gimme a free digicam

$5 hahahaa jk jk.

What are the purposes for a rear diffuser?
Wow Im ganna annoy alot of the instructors when school starts...in juneish

Guys thx so much for the help I really appreciate it.

College student + part time work = not enough for mods since i spend all mine on tracking the car

Exhaust? do you want a loud one or something with a lil more grunt (deep sound). In general single exhaust yield better gains on our motors. If you want to keep the dual look, there are lots of choices. Be careful though, many exhaust actually lose power on our cars.

Rear diffusers help out on the track for keeping your rear planted. It sends airflow through without it hitting all your pipes and what not. Its really meant for track cars and not daily drivers

well... bulletproof prices are expensive cause they are all authentic pieces..... as for mods on the S... you really have to do your research it's hard and it's complicating.. and if this is your first car modding.. you might be in for some studying hahahahahhaa....

and yes the rx8 sucks.. !!!

rear diffuser also helps limit drag on your car... and helps downforce.... by keeping the air away from the bottom of your car....
