Default spring choice for del sol???

well it's between h&r race or sport series. I know the sport will be a smoother ride but I kinda want the lower look of the race. will the race be too bumpy with some good struts on there or should i stick with the sport. there will be 15" wheels on it. thanks

i got nuespeed race springs on koni yellows, the drop is nice. its not too harsh at all. About the only difference between the two are a that h&r are about a 1/4 inch lower.

I wouldnt mind going lower even... go with the race springs and a good ajustable shock.

On the cheaper side of things, I've got goldline springs with tokico struts and they handle extremely well. even with the handling problems that come with a del sol, to me this combo tighten things up real nice on a low budget. Only downside you might have is it lowered the ride hieght of my sol by about 2 1/2 inches.

i would go with the race. Del sols generally seem to sit kinda high, at least mine does. i made the mistake of buying the progress springs. OMG... way too soft!

del sol is only 5.5 off the groud stock, the civic was a full inch higher. I lowered my sol ~2.5 inches on the race springs, scraped everywhere i went, moved over to the sports springs, still scrape just alot less. The ride was only a little worse with the race springs, and you could only tell the difference if you were autocrossing it performence wise.

To answer the question you had asked, buy the race springs. I have them on my car along with Tokiko 5 way adjustables. You will in fact have a stiff ride, but you will enjoy the benifits of having a car that looks sweet and can take a corner with great ease. Do not forget to get camber kits for the car. Lowering the car 2.5 inches will jack up your suspension real quick like without them. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions.
