intake on a 99-00 ex

intake on a 99-00 ex
there are 3 things that "plug" into the 99-00 ex intake.
1. sensor plug (IAT)?
2. crank outlet
3. ???
anyone can tell me what 3. is??? and is it important or not because I might plug it up or something if its not.. thanks!
