Automatic Question
I own a 2000 EX Coupe Automatic and I was just wondering, why can't I rev the car past 5000rpms? Is is the ecu or some other thing? If it's some other thing, please give a solution. I'm somewhat new to this so any help would be great. Thanks

That's weird, I've gotten to just shy of redline on mine in nuetral. The only reason I can think that you aren't redlining in your car is that you aren't at WOT (wide open throttle). It will never get all the way to redline if you don't floor it.

if he is in a auto, he is going to hit a revlimiter at 5 or 5500rpm...
As for taking it off? WHY DO YOU WANT TO REV THAT HIGH IN AN AUTOMATIC IN NEUTRAL? (is it in neutral? you havent said...) If you are, that is there so you DONT rev that high going no where, its pointless and damaging from what ive heard.
