The SOHC VTEC ZC is pretty much identical to the D16Z6, so it's probably somewhere around 106 lb-ft . . .

but does the SOHC ZC have vtec? soo if it doesnt , then the d16z6 motor has a slight advantage then, right?

There is a SOHC non-VTEC ZC similar to the D16A6. There is also a SOHC VTEC ZC similar to the D16Z6.

There are several different ZC engines out there, since all D16 engines sold in Japan were stamped "ZC."

The DOHC ZC has 130ps, which is 128hp.

He specifically mentioned the SOHC VTEC ZC, which again is the JDM version of the D16Z6. At most, it would have 130ps.

Not unless the OBD-1 version has more power than the pre-OBD version . . .

there's 3 kinds of ZC's:

1) sohc non vtec (not sure what the specs are, but should be similar to the 'b7)

2)sohc vtec , identical to the 'z6 (125 hp and 106 tq)

3)and the dohc non vtec (only has 130hp and 106 tq)

hope that helps (btw, hope you dont get the sohc non vtec)
