What cars would the S2000 compete with if it has a turbo?
I have been doing alot of research for a while now on turbo kits/applications. I was wondering what kind of cars the S can compete with if it had, lets say an Ultimate Racing turbo kit, full 3" exhaust, and tunned for about 340 at the wheels. I really want to be able to take on the guys around my area with high-end cars and I am hoping that a turbo will provide me with some good results.

It will be a high 12 second car with some good driving. What cars are you trying to compete against? Than again any car with a turbo tuned to 340 whp could be a 12 second car.
I really would like to get the turbo and send the block to Alaniz Technologies...but that would cost tons of money...but that's what it is going to take to compete with Ferrari 360's, Porsche turbo's, etc. I would guess that tunned properly I would want to run around 14psi daily. How much hp would that yield?
Mid 300s to the ground can hang with a pretty good amount of cars. youll have to add to your suspension setup to hang with those cars on the track!
boosteds2k is selling his turbo setup... 450+ rwhp..... and trust me that thing hawls ****.... it will hang with the best of them..

I don't know how much power it's putting down since I have never dynoed it...i am guessing around 290-300...
Well, it depends if I will be able to afford a built block. I don't want to push the stock block's limit. I guess around 350-380 on a stock block and 400+ on a built block. I would keep the supercharger, get a new pulley, and build the block, but I hear that there would be alot of slippage with a smaller booost pulley.
my buddy has a 12lb pulley on his s2k with a vortech and he has no slippage yet. he is goin get a 15lb pulley and well see what she does. once your in the 400hp range your goin to need some other supporting mods too!
04 s2k tranny, act clutch, comptech re-enforced diff, with a stock exhaust. thats the only thing that killin him HP wise. but hes gettine one.

BOOSTEDS2K hit 575whp with a STOCK BLOCK. Had some headwork and 3mm head gasket, but it just goes to show you that for a lot of streetable power, I think we are going to see a trend that building the block is NOT a must do option. Obviously there is around $20k in tuning, but if you buy the kit he has f/s you get the map included provided you use AEM EMS

Damn $20gs in Tuning. HOLY COW!!!!!!!! Now if someone could get it down to a science to condense all that tuning into $5K tuning, BAM instant market.

that was with race gas..
but he's up and close to 500rwhp with 93 octane gas... and i doubt it was 20K in tuning.. it was 20k for his whole setup.... but now he's upgrading to a bigger turbo.....

ok, let me re-phrase. If I were to have my tuner mess with the car for that many hours, itd be VERY close to $20k
