Default Problematic '00 Si after timing belt/waterpump service...please help

I am new here, I've been on Clubsi for a few years but thought i'd try my luck...

Before I got my timing belt, waterpump, etc done by a certified honda mechanic, I had none of these problems, but now it's been nothing but trouble since then:

-Idle fluctuates from 600-1200 rpms when warm (once in a while)
-When Cold, Idle is steady around 1800 rpms
-When idle is steady it feels rough, not smooth
-CEL has popped up again, after Intake Manifold was cleaned and the light was turned off....I guess i should bring the car to Honda, but does anyone know what this might be??? One of my friends said that maybe the timing is off??

BTW my car is a 00 Si with 92k miles and no problems before these...thanks

Also I can not just run it back to the place that did it, because it is over 800 miles away in my hometown, not college town where I am now :-(

Idle problem most likely = IACV or vacuum leak.

Do you have a misfire? What's the CEL code? I would replace the IACV before you look into the timing being off...your car does have a lot of miles on it, not uncommon for this to need to be replaced/serviced

You said Timing belt , water pump etc....whats etc ? Did you have the problems right away after the maintenance ? If so you should of called 'em right away you might of had better luck taking it back....although I understand your distance situation.

Timing Belt, Waterpump, Valve Adjustment, Valve Cover Gasket was done. The CEL CODES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

P0172-System Too Rich/Bank1

P0170-Fuel Trim Malfunction/Bank1

This happened shortly after I got the car back then it was looked at, the intake manifold was cleaned out, then the CEL and problems came back.

i had the same problem with my old integra, it ended up being off one notch. i just fixed it myself.

pull your valve cover and line up cam gears and see if they are aligned. the lines on the cam gears will point at one another as well you can slide a small pick through the holes in the tops of the cams on the gear side. you will see the holes.

good luck
