Default Someone please give me a little help

I was wondering if someone could snap a couple of pics of their trunk area. I am looking to see how the trunk bar is mounted in a type r. If you are running a stripped trunk area that would be even more helpfull. Also if some could measure the length between the two holes that would be sweet. Thanks guys

Probably not much help this one...

Its a spoon rear bar and it mounts on the two shock bolts either side...ie theyre screwed off the, the bar is fitted and the nuts screwed down again to hold it in place. Sorry i dont have the dimensions and its snowing outside so i'm also not going out to measure them either

I was looking for the trunk bar, not a strut bar. Thank you for the help. Just to make myself a lttle more clear, the bar I am looking for is the on located right below where the hatch locks.

Oh! Sorry dont have a picture of that one.

That bar is bolted (2 x 10mm bolts on each side) to the back panel. The rear doesnt have to be stripped to fit one as there are cut outs in the plastic to fit it.

... and to my knowledge the holes are in his 2001 teg also so he should be able to measure it himself.

Yes I did a search. I saw the post and the bar is supposed to be 36 inches, mine is not. I am trying to see a photo of a oem bar so I can see if mine is similar, I am not sure. So if someone could please help me out. I also would like to know if the bar is mounted where the cargo clips are, if not then I am looking in the wrong place and will have to pull my plastic. All I need is a measurement and a photo and I know someone can help me out.

Why trolling the R forum with expo threads with no point and threadjacks like this is acceptable, i'll never know.

chris - who is sure there is MORE than enough official/helpful expo threads already.

I measure the bar or holes to be 35 1/4 inches across center to center. I have emailed you a cheap pic I took with my $20 black and white web cam. It only shows the end of the bar. Ignore the glare at he top of the photo. I had to hit it with a million candle power spotlight to trick the camera into thinking there was enough light so it would take the pic. Stay away from the "Cool I-Cam." My good camera got jacked.

It's not acceptable, but there are no ITR Forum moderators around anymore. The only one who's done anything recently is Lip, and that's because I dragged him in here a while back.

You might want to be less shy with the button if something bugs you.
