Default Ok Guys, whats your 1/4 mile times with I/H/E

VS. your old stock times

Stock in the LS/RS is 15.9-16 in the 1/4 miles & 0-60 is 7.6..supposedly, but what are YOUR times with just I/H/E.

Reason I ask, is b/c I have exhaust & an intake, but I would like to know what kinda difference headers would give me in times. Thanks!

im not sure about times but ur exhaust/intake are currently doingnothing because the header is restricting them both. once u upgrade then everything will begin to flow

a header would help you make the intake and exhaust work better

i never did stock times with my ls. But i only managed a 15.9 with i/h/e and some other things. But that was with a 2.4 60' So there's definitely room for improvement.

when i ran my LS at the track, i ran a 15.9 consistently for about 8 runs with aem cold air, thermal catback, and dc 4-2-1 header.. and your header isnt going to do as much as you think it will.. its not giving you 15hp like you think.. it will just let air flow a little better.. so maybe you could knock a tenth or two off if youre lucky.. plan on running high 15s/low 16s with those bolt ons. if you have the money, maybe start building your motor up for either turbo or LS/VTEC..?

I ran a 15.5@88mph in my 2300 lb civic hatcback, LS tranny, no ps or ac, with an intake and header, "stock" exhaust", to give you an idea.

i ran a 15.1 with I/H/E with my ls and also tied a prelude that ran a 14.9 but that does not count i guess. I have 17"s on and subs in the back now so i douno what i would run will find out once the tracks open up

14.9 quite a few times in my 2001 SE

pacesetter 4-2-1 header that was leaking (replaced with 4-1 dc sport)
stock cat (replaced with catco cat)
dc sport catback
aem cold air (replaced with the enw V2 syetem)
no passenger seat (going to be replaced with Sparcos that are light)

with that old set up i ran 130 whp and 117 trq (corrected) on the dyno

i am going for low-mid 14s with slicks and pr3 pistons and tuning

you are going to need more than pistons to get that low

pistons, slicks and tunning

we are at sea level here, where our cars are faster then a lot of others.

My buddy has a 93 civic hatch, with a b18b, j racing intake, 4-1 header and muffler.. jg 301 cams and chipped ecu. On slicks he ran 13.8

but anyways, i am not goign to argue about this. I'll just post the slip come spring

Those bolt ons really wont take full effect without a new header.

i just ran a 14.5 last night with home made intake, header exhaust and hondata in my dc2. i'm hoping i can knock of a couple of tenths with improved launch technique- first timer at the 1/4
