try changing your tranny oil(if you havent yet) also you might want to invest in some new Shift Bushigns. That might help. If the problem still occurs, i'd just baby it into gear.
that is not really a miss shift. a miss shift would be trying to go in 4th from 3rd and going into 2nd by mistake. this will throw your rpms past 10k where you will float valves and more evilish things.
I have grinded my gears a few times and its not a big deal. it happens from time to time.

The 2-3 shift is easy to miss since you are trying to catch up to the motor which is rocking forward. Ive found that motor mount inserts help a great deal.
Yeah, I botched up a few 2-3 shifts at really inopportune times .....
The worst was when I had taken Sgt off the line, and was still beating him at half track with my best ever 60', and 1/8th time ever (would have been a 13.7 run, same day I did the 13.87). F--ked up the shift, and he passed me to win.
So he made it to the finals, and I picked up my $50 for making the semis ...... oh well!

were you in any sort of racing situation? maybe you just got hurried and didn't get the clutch all the way in. it sounds stupid but it happens...
if the car still shifts fine, you probably don't have anything to worry about.

Like when you go from 2nd to third, you just push it up easily and NOT try to turn it a bit right then up.
It's hard to explain. I have been driving for 11 years now and never misshifted. I have stalled the engine when I was learning but that was about it.
Aren't synchro the hard-to-reach = expensive labor headache?
Have anyone acutually went replacing it? How much is it labor+part?
I grind 1st - 2nd more than I grind 2 to 3rd. Maybe 5 vs 3 times.
And weird thing is that I hardly grind gears on autox/road, the most a misshift. But I grind&miss more frequently on the street...it usually happens when I am "thinking to shift fast" and the next thing you hear is ggeeekeeekeek. I guess I should rely on my instinct to shift more.

ES shifter bushings
I used to mis-shift in my R a lot when i first got it. You just have to practice (meaning dont shift as fast as you can all the time but get better at it over a period of time trying to shift faster and faster...you get what i mean) over and over to be able to shift smoothly/fast on every occasion. I still grind every once in a while but the bushings like i said help the feel of the shifter. When i grinded the gears regularly i thought about getting the C's short shifter thinking that the stock shifter was too long but once i got the hang of it i love my stock shifter. So smooth!
