Hey guys, i'm somewhat new to the forums over here at Honda-Tech, i'm usually over at honda-acura.net.. but anyways. I've been into the import scene pretty heavily for the last 2-3 years. I've got a question about my swap. I've done some research about a possibly needed knock sensor & i'm not sure if this is needed for my swap or not.

I'm working with a 95civic ex body & i've got a built b18a1 sitting here that i'm ready to drop in, i'm just tryin to work out all the details before i put it in & realize that i've forgotten something. I've set it up for boost & i need to know if there is actually a need for a knock sensor or not. I've read that people are taking out the 3rd altornator bracket bolt & inserting one there when they do it but i just can't seem to to find hard facts as to weather or not i actually need to do this with my appliation. Any & all information about this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

:edit.. almost forgot.. i've changed everything to obd1

 

which ECU are you using?

 

obd1 ecu from a 94-95 integra

 

b18a1's don't have knock sensors so your not gonna have to have one depending on your ecu like if you have a p28 its obd1 with no knock sensor
