Default Help! CAR Doesn't start, CHECKED EVERYTHING!

I put a new starter, new battery, new distributor, but nothing. Turn the key no sound, besides the relay switching over.

Tested the starter wire to see if its gets voltage when the key turns over but nothing! So i'm guessing it's the ignition.

I check the ignition and no power to the Black/White & yellow wire, in the III position.

What the heck? :

I checked all my fuses, nothing blown. It just starting to happen

This is an 89 Civic DX. AND YES I DID A SEARCH!

does your head lights turn on? does any lights come on when you turn the car on? if no then it might be your alternator since you got a new battery

have you even tried jump starting it yet?

if it is the clutch switch take it off and put a wire going to both of the terminals on the plug and see if it starts.

1) I cut the two wires (Blue & Black) leading to the clutch pedal switch and connected them two. So now i don't have to deal with that problem

2) I add another tranny ground to the chasis.

3) i changed the 'Main" rely (I think it is located on the diver side kick panel, has like 7 pronges on it).

4) check my ECU light, it only flashed once, and it was off.

results

Still the same things. When I turn the key to position III, it doesn't do anything, besides the relay (located behinds the center console) clicking. nothings else!

ARGHH pain in the ***.

I know i'm getting power, doubled check the leads from the ignition switch and still no power coming from the yellow wire and the black/white. SAD

Check your ground wires.if that's not the problem then the next best thing to do is to check your clutch wire and make sure it's not locked.

Did you ever fix your problem? I'm still stumped.

Gonna wait for a new ignition switch... and see what happens after

What do you mean before or after? I check while it's in position III. Also before and after. No voltage to it. So i'm guessing it's either a ground, relay or bad ignition.

your ignition switch is prolly just shot, there would still be power to it if your realy went out it just wouldnt prime the fuel pump or have the ability to start your car.

Its the clutch switch. Same **** happened to me when I was o-so-happy and about to go on a date. Needless to say the rest of the night sucked, and so did the following few days.

Got up under the dash, the little blue button cover was shattered that engages when you push the clutch in. Im a big dude so it was hard for me to get down there and jump the wires, so instead I jammed a bolt in the hole on top of the clutch pedal, viola, car started again.

Did the same for my damn brake lights a month before to!

LOL!

Yup!!! so frustrating. When you think you found the problem, and it's not.
