Can I change the flange on this manifold?
I am looking at getting this turbo setup from a member and was wanting to know if I could change the flange if I get a bigger turbo? Also something I just caught is it don't have any braces, would I need them with this style of manifold? I read before that it is a good idea to have braces but that is with a tubular style. I guess I could have one come from the bottom of the turbo out flange to the block. Give me your thoughts. I wouldn't be doing the work but this way I could tell the welder what needs to be done.

that looks like a t25 eclipse turbo from what i see or close to that size of a turbo
yes you will be able to get a different flange by cutting that one at the end of the manifold and cleaning it up nicely and fabricating a new pipe with a different style flange
you shouldnt have to brace that turbo because it isnt a heavy turbo and you are using a log style manifold
i dont know the quality of the manifold from the pic but you shouldnt have any problems if you dont brace it
thanks
feel free to ask any other questions

yeah it's a 14b turbo and the manifold is from http://www.jgstools.com/turbo/index2.html
They sell kits to make your own manifold and this guy did it that way. I was thinking that I could cut it down and put a new bracket on it but wasn't sure.
