Default 1st gen crx lowering

Aright I can buy springs for the rear but how do I go about lowering the front? I know it has torsion bars. Can someone explain more in detail how I lower them. More importantly is it safe to do this? I will be putting in a b18b which weighs more, do I have to upgrade the torsion bars (its like 350 for a pair??) or can I just lower the car by adjusting the ones in it?

I lowered my 85 hatch with a wrench. There's a nut at the bottom of the torsion bar. I did this 5 years ago, sorry i can't give you specifics.

Maybe you can find a how-to here.

there are nuts at the bottom of each torsion bar. basically, you just loosen the nuts. the looser they are, the lower it gets. they will only go so far though. if you are putting in a bigger motor, you will need to upgrade the torsion bars no matter what, or else you will bottom out all of the time and break something. go to repepperracing.com, and there are tech articles telling you how to take another spline out of the torsion bar to get it really low.
