Default Turbo Lotus Elise.....Part2...lots of pics

I picked up the car from the fabricator and decided I would snap a few pics before I remove the powertrain assembly to replace the clutch..

It looks REALLY nice but I don't like that 90 degree turn right after the turbine outlet.

That car's going to be a blast! Is that the Celica GTS engine? Make a video when your done. I'd love to see that thing on the road. By the way, the title says part 2. Where is part 1?

I dont like the idea of using allen bolts on the turbine housing... too easy too strip... well they look like 3/16 allen bolt and those are easy to strip.

Funky pseudo-donut-gasket setup on the turbine.

i thought that is amusing...as it is that fast stock.

wow your gonna make a magazine for sure, a few of them. I know I would buy one if there was a turbo elise on the cover.

dont care how it looks cause this is my idea of the ultimate strip-killer! if i win the lotery im going to buy a elise! and swap in a dart b20 with a nasty turbo! i have seen a elise with a stock k20a2 race against a 320whp empty civic. 1/8 mile without doing its best and he was more than a second faster! i dont think ther is much that can beat a modified elise!

holy **** thats beautiful work!

I don't understand the spring deal on the compressor...? whats that for and why is the dp or I should say exit pipe not welded to the flange?

looks as if you can just stick the muffler strait out of the compressor and be done if you didn't need the cat... nice layout!

The springs and donut joint are there to allow articulation of the exhaust system(@10 degrees) during engine torque.
I just finished replacing the cluch today and the car shall be on the dyno tomorrow.

Looks really nice! clean as hell. Not really digging the 90 degree bend on the oil return line though, you want that to flow as free as possible. Still looks sick tho.

Here are some preliminary numbers

The red lines are stock baseline numbers and the blue is the ForcedFed turbo kit at 6psi. This is a conservative tune on 91 octane and with a catalytic converter. Afr pre cat was 11.5 according to my motec wide band......so any way I thought I'd just post our progress.
