need help 91 crx si swap d15b need help about dizzy
HI I swap my 91 crx si for jdm d15b using obd0 ecu and injector I used my stock intake mani now my problem is the stock dizzy wont fit the bolts and some say that I can used a obd1 dizzy just match the wire and I tried that it dint work anyone know which distributor obd0 fit the d15b thank in advance
what you should do is get an obd0 to obd1 conversion harness and use a z6 dizzy. I just did this swap in my hf and i converted to obd1 and works perfect.
Just cut the top and front legs on the distributor so that you can bolt it in with large washers.... do an archived search for "distributor d16z6" in the EF forum a few threads with pics will show up.
Or yeah get a D16Z6 distributor ($75-100 used), 4-wire O2 sensor ($75?), P28 ECU ($100-125), OBD0-OBD1 conversion harness (~$100) or make your own, keep your stock injectors and resistor box (if you use OBD1 injectors you don't need that box anymore), re-pin the Z6 dist to match OBD0 plugs, and for around $400 more you're running SMOG legal (if you're in CA) and fuel/ignition maps that are much better for the car.
Or you can stay OBD0 and do what a lot more people are starting to do now and chip a PM6/PS9 for 1-wire VTEC and give it maps as close to P28 as you can (it gets complicated trust me, just try to download a .bin)... you connect a wire from your ECU to the VTEC solenoid and viola, you have VTEC!
