Default Type R Valve Springs in SOHC?

I have a Stage 1 Comp Cam for my d16y8 and it is recommended to replace the valve springs but not required... Well I want to replace them to be safe and get the full potential from them.

A friend of mine works for Honda and he said he could get type r valve springs.

Would they work in my car? Would they do the job right? I don't know much about internals so any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes because that is typically the motor that goes in the Type R. just playing

So is there no way they will fit? I understand it is a different motor but....

Or should I just get the damn Zex valve springs?

Get the matching cam springs as they are specifically matched to work with their cams and will have the proper pressures.

Not possible, the B series springs are alot shorter than the D's, they wouldnt even hold the valve closed.
