what does it take to install my bodykit???
yeah i just bought a bodykit and had it fully prepped of all cracks... to install it on my car what materials do i need... screws, glue, ect??? THANKS
What body kit is it? If its the uretheyne wings west you could do it yourself. If its a fiberglass type kit they usally fit like crap and take some work to get on.
Hopefully its the ww kit. thats the only kit that fits the rex body lines nicely

WW kit is the only kit for the crx that should be put on, any other kit is rice. U need the best double sided tape u can get and maybe a heat gun to lightly heat the kit for some part if its uretheyne.
well if it has cracks then your talking fiberglass...enough said...fit it first, you will end up cutting it all up to make it fit good! then get all the damn waves and **** out of it...if all of this has not taken you like 3-10 hours then most likly your not ready for any form of paint. Then prim, block, prim, block, check...paint[100other steps to paint]...now you are ready 2 put in on our car. i would glue the side.s. and bolt front and rear. Fiberglass body kits look like **** after a few thousand miles so get ready to do it all over again after awhile...goodluck!<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by NCivicsi »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">should probley get it professinally done ...</TD></TR></TABLE>

LMMFAO Yes, all rexes must look a like dammit!
As jlong put it, be prepared to spend hours of prep work. If it's glass, some kits fit better than others. Some kits will require some cutting of the front and rear bumper supports etc. Stop by a couple body shops and see if you can find one of the employee's there that are cool enough to share some information with you on it. A lot of shops won't even screw with (because of all the prep required) and those that will charge like hell.
I was successful installing my first kit. Just remember, if you screw it up, you'll just have to pay someone even more to fix it! lol Air tools is a plus too.

I was going to do my kit myself, but then i test fitted it and changed my mind really quickly. I would say to go pay to have it done by a professional but it kinda depends. Do some test fitting at first. You may have gotten a decent kit and it may line up pretty good. To mount everything on your going to need the usual screws and probably some washers also, at least thats what mine needed. But if you have the money, i would go get the WW kit and save some time and a lot of hassle.
