Ok so around a year ago I crashed my 02 rsx type s. I just got a 02 RSX non S. Will this thing still work on my car. Or is there something completly differnt with the two. It is just one of those ebay no name short ram intakes. Let me know.

 

i really doubt it. I have a cusin with a base rsx and he has a AEM intake and i tried to put it in my ep3. It wouldnt fit cause the intake was made shorter. The mounting of the intake was off by about 1 or 2 inches. I really wouldnt know if it wouldnt fit on the type s or not but the ep3 and dc5 do have basicaly the same setup under the hood.

 

Different IM, and different location of certain things so no it wont work

 

I got my V2 for my type S to fit on an EP3 w/o much trouble.

If im not mistakin the V2 is a short ram. Thats why. A CAI will not work. The Ep3 and the Type S share the same intake manifold. The base RSX shares the same manifold as the older GSR. Being different engines altogther though dont think that a GSR intake will fit on the base either.

 

If its a short ram, it will fit.

EP3's K20A3 and the Type S share the same intake manifold thats prob why it works. Base RSX has the plastic manifold.

 

wont work the brackets for the type-s and non-s are about 2 inches off and some of the other things dont line up like the sensor

I thought the EP3 had a single stage and the base a dual, hence the extra 10 or so pounds of tq?
