Hi everyone , im about to buy a CRX Vtec ( 89-92 ) and i would like you ppl to tell me what do i have to see to have shure the car is in good shape , the critical parts .

First post here , so ill introduce myself
Im bruno from Portugal and i have 22years old , my dream car is the CRX so pls help me ,thx

burning oil,
listen for knocking sounds,
make sure alignment is ok,
tranny doesn't grind,
clutch feel high maybe slipping.

You might wanna use the edit button in the right hand corner and correct you're spelling HT doesn't like that for some reason.

 

dont worry about anything the guy above said, just check it for rust, check
both front shock towers for rust, rear towers, spare tire area, lift car and check
rocker panels. and inside doors where hinges are, if car checks free of rust, i say buy it, very easy to get around the mechanical stuff on a honda, u acn get any d series for very cheap, or even a b16 vtec for relitavely cheap, good luck

If its a b series motor don't worry about anything i said just let it blow up, go out and buy another one 1500-6000 dollars isn't a big deal anyways right??

Also check the steering parts and rubber like the tie rods, cv joints, and ball joints for seeping. Check the engine for noises, and ugly wiring. Check all the electrical units to make sure they work correctly.

A straight body and little or no rust is most important.

The only CRX that comes with Vtec is Japan and Europe. Unless the swap is done.
